Best EURO 2024 Fantasy Players โ€” Who Scored the Most Points

EURO 2024 in Germany was one of the most rewarding tournaments fantasy managers have had in years. Spain swept to the title with a young, attacking side, Georgia gate-crashed the knockouts, and a handful of players turned a single month into a fantasy goldmine. This is a look back at the best UEFA EURO 2024 Fantasy players โ€” who actually scored the most points, who kept the clean sheets coming, and which differentials caught everyone out.

One thing worth saying up front: UEFA never published a single, tidy end-of-tournament fantasy leaderboard. The figures below come from official UEFA EURO 2024 Fantasy scout notes and from Fantasy Football Scout's tournament coverage. Where a number is a confirmed full-tournament total it is presented as such; where it is a point-in-time snapshot โ€” for example "after the group stage" โ€” it is labelled clearly. That is the honest picture, and it is more useful than a made-up ranking.

If you want to check any of these scores yourself, the Euro fantasy points calculator totals any player's matchday using the official rules.

The Top Fantasy Points Scorers

Dani Olmo โ€” the tournament's fantasy MVP

Dani Olmo finished EURO 2024 as the standout fantasy asset with roughly 34 fantasy points, and the remarkable thing is how he got there. He did not start the tournament as a guaranteed starter โ€” he began as an impact substitute and only became a fixture in Spain's XI once Pedri was injured in the quarter-final. From that point he was unstoppable, scoring in the round of 16 against Georgia, the quarter-final against Germany and the semi-final against France. His last four matches returned 6, 6, 14 and 7 points. He shared the Golden Boot on three goals and added two assists โ€” the perfect knockout-stage fantasy profile.

Fabiรกn Ruiz โ€” the best value midfielder

Fabiรกn Ruiz was Spain's leading fantasy points scorer with about 32 points, built on two goals, two assists and a Player of the Match award. As a midfielder priced well below the marquee forwards, he was the kind of pick that quietly won managers their mini-leagues. He was also named in UEFA's official Team of the Tournament, confirming that the fantasy points reflected genuine, sustained quality rather than one lucky match.

Georges Mikautadze โ€” the group-stage sensation

Georgia's Georges Mikautadze was the breakout fantasy story of the group stage. He went into the round of 16 with 21 fantasy points โ€” the most of any forward at that point and the joint third-highest score across all positions. He scored in all three group games, including in Georgia's famous 2-0 win over Portugal, then added one more against Spain in the last 16. His final total finished a little above 21. For managers who took the punt early, he was the differential of the group stage.

Clean Sheet Kings and the Best Defenders

Defenders and goalkeepers earn six points a goal and four for a clean sheet in UEFA Euro Fantasy, so a defender from a deep-running team is gold.

Dayot Upamecano (France) was a quiet fantasy machine. He had 15 fantasy points after the group stage, much of it driven by ball recoveries โ€” he racked up 11 in the group phase alone โ€” on top of France's defensive solidity. France's run to the semi-finals meant his minutes kept coming.

Bart Verbruggen (Netherlands) was the smart goalkeeper pick. Heading into Matchday 3 he had 11 fantasy points, more than any other goalkeeper in his price bracket. The Netherlands reaching the semi-finals gave him a long runway of clean-sheet chances at a budget price.

Spain's defence underpinned the whole tournament. Marc Cucurella played every round to the final and made UEFA's Team of the Tournament, and France's William Saliba and Mike Maignan did the same โ€” all three were dependable clean-sheet sources from teams that simply refused to lose.

Bonus Points and Star-Player Leaders

UEFA Euro Fantasy uses a star-player bonus tied to UEFA's match ratings rather than FPL's hidden Bonus Points System, so the players who topped the bonus charts were the ones dominating individual games.

N'Golo Kantรฉ was the standout here. He claimed the Player of the Match award in both of France's first two matches โ€” the only player to win it twice in the group stage โ€” and those awards carry real fantasy weight.

Rodri was named Player of the Tournament, and his fantasy profile shows why: a goal, a Player of the Match award, and an extraordinary 14 ball recoveries in the quarter-final against Germany. As a midfielder playing every minute of Spain's title run, he was a captaincy-grade asset.

Lamine Yamal led the tournament with three fantasy assists, more than any other player, and was named Young Player of the Tournament at 17. He returned an attacking contribution in all three of Spain's knockout games โ€” exactly the consistency captains are built on.

Surprise Performers

Every tournament has players who out-scored their price tag, and EURO 2024 had several.

Georges Mikautadze is the obvious one โ€” a forward from a debutant nation finishing the group stage as the top-scoring forward in the entire game. Almost no one had him at kick-off.

Nico Williams was a mid-tournament riser. He delivered a goal, an assist and 10 fantasy points in Spain's round-of-16 win alone, scored in the final, and made the Team of the Tournament โ€” strong value for managers who brought him in before the knockouts.

Jude Bellingham is the cautionary tale. He was the most-owned player in EURO 2024 Fantasy at roughly 70% ownership and started well, leading England with 15 fantasy points after the group stage. But his returns dipped through the knockouts, and the heavily-captained pick did not pay off the way his ownership implied. The lesson: high ownership is not the same as high points.

What EURO 2024 Taught Fantasy Managers

Three patterns stand out, and all of them apply directly to the next tournament.

Players from the finalists win the game. Olmo, Ruiz, Cucurella, Rodri and Yamal all scored heavily for one simple reason beyond talent โ€” Spain played seven matches. In a knockout fantasy format, a squad weighted toward the teams you expect to go deep will out-score a more glamorous squad whose stars exit early.

Mid-priced midfielders are the value engine. Fabiรกn Ruiz at a mid-table price out-performed far more expensive forwards. The marquee strikers soak up budget; the points often come from a well-chosen midfielder on a good team.

Don't chase ownership. Bellingham was the template pick and underwhelmed, while early movers on Mikautadze and Williams were rewarded. Differentials win mini-leagues.
