Dream11 Points Calculator

Cricket fantasy scoring for T20, ODI and Test, covering runs, wickets, fielding, rate bonuses and the captain and vice-captain multipliers.

Quick Answer: How Dream11 Points Work

Dream11 cricket points are the sum of four parts. Batting: 1 per run, plus a 4 point boundary bonus per four and 6 per six, plus one milestone bonus at 25, 50, 75 or 100 runs (and 125 or 150 in ODI and Test), minus a duck penalty. Bowling: 30 per wicket in T20 and ODI or 20 in Tests, plus 8 when it is LBW or bowled, plus a wicket-haul bonus. Fielding: 8 per catch, 12 per stumping, 12 for a direct-hit run-out and 6 each to the last two fielders on any other run-out. Rates: strike rate and economy rate swing a player by up to 6 points either way in T20 and ODI.

Everyone in the announced XI also banks 4 points before a ball is bowled. Apply the multipliers last: your captain scores x2 and your vice-captain scores x1.5 their base total. Use the calculator above to total any player instantly, or read the full T20, ODI and Test chart below.

Only the highest batting milestone and the highest wicket haul are paid, never both tiers. Strike-rate points need at least 10 balls faced in T20 or 20 in ODI, and economy-rate points need at least 2 overs bowled in T20 or 5 in ODI. Captain doubles the base total and vice-captain multiplies it by 1.5, which is the single biggest decision in Dream11.

Values verified 30 July 2026 against the official Dream11 T20, ODI and Test point system. Guides still quoting 25 points per wicket, a 1 point boundary bonus or a 30 run bonus are describing the retired scheme.

How to use the Dream11 points calculator

This Dream11 points calculator turns a scorecard into a fantasy total in four steps, using the official T20, ODI and Test point system above.

  1. 1Pick the match format (T20, ODI or Test), since wicket values, rate bonuses and duck penalties differ by format.
  2. 2Enter the player's batting, bowling and fielding stats: runs, fours, sixes, wickets, catches, stumpings and run-outs.
  3. 3Mark the player as captain or vice-captain to apply the 2x or 1.5x multiplier to the base total.
  4. 4Read the Dream11 fantasy points total, then repeat for each of your 11 players to project the full team score.

Dream11 FAQs

How are Dream11 points calculated for cricket?

Every run is 1 point, a four adds a 4 point boundary bonus on top of the runs, and a six adds 6. A wicket is worth 30 points in T20 and ODI and 20 in Tests, a catch 8, a stumping 12, and a direct-hit run-out 12. Batting milestone bonuses start at 25 runs and wicket-haul bonuses start at 3 wickets in T20. Captain and vice-captain multipliers are applied last.

How many points is a run-out on Dream11?

A direct hit is worth 12 points and all of it goes to the single fielder who touched the ball. If more than one fielder was involved, the last two to touch it get 6 points each instead. A wicket credited as a run-out does not also pay the 30 point bowling wicket.

What is the captain multiplier on Dream11?

The captain you select earns 2x their actual points and the vice-captain earns 1.5x. The multiplier is applied to the finished base total, penalties included, so picking the right captain is usually the difference between winning and losing a Dream11 contest.

Are Dream11 points different for T20, ODI, and Test cricket?

Yes. A wicket pays 30 points in T20 and ODI but 20 in Tests. T20 adds a 12 point maiden over and 1 point per dot ball, ODI pays 4 for a maiden over and 1 point per 3 dot balls, and Tests award no maiden-over, dot-ball, strike-rate or economy-rate points at all. Duck penalties also differ: 2 points in T20, 3 in ODI and 4 in Tests. Batting milestones start at 25 runs in every format, but only ODI and Test carry on to the 125 and 150 run bonuses.

How do you calculate captain and vice-captain points on Dream11?

Work out the base points first, then apply the multiplier once at the end. If your captain scores 60 base points they contribute 120. A vice-captain scoring 60 base points contributes 90. Always make your highest-projected player the captain rather than the safest pick, because the multiplier doubles the upside as well as the floor.

Is a duck a penalty on Dream11?

Yes. A batter, wicket-keeper or all-rounder dismissed without scoring loses 2 points in T20, 3 in ODI and 4 in Tests. Specialist bowlers are exempt. The penalty only applies on dismissal, so a player who finishes not out on 0 keeps their points.

Why is my Dream11 score different from what I calculated?

The usual causes are the rate bonuses and the lineup point. Strike-rate points need a minimum of 10 balls faced in T20 or 20 in ODI, and economy-rate points need 2 overs bowled in T20 or 5 in ODI, so they often go unnoticed. Every player in the announced XI also earns 4 points before doing anything. The other common cause is an out-of-date chart: many third-party guides still show the retired values of 25 per wicket and a 1 point boundary bonus.
